Recently Jim Kimker and Mike Hesser began managing the Ivory Theatre. Mike has been directing and producing community theater as well as some professional shows for years. Jim began performing at the Muny, was a member of St. Louis Civic Ballet's junior company, performed the first three years Six Flags Over Mid America opened, and has directed, stage managed, costumed, choreographed, and performed in many community theatre and professional shows.
Both men had been involved in shows at the Ivory Theatre before becoming managers. Jim and Mike have worked on restoring the original beauty of the Ivory Theatre. Their goal is to fill the theatre with activities 24/7. They would like to see church services return on Sunday mornings, meetings during the weekdays, and shows every evening with some parties, weddings, and special events as well as the return of the lunchbox shows.
